Sand-based pitch for 2012
The No.1 ground sees its last home game
this Saturday until the start of the 2012 season in
April. This is the window the Council requires to
install and bed-in our sand-based pitch with a sub
-turf sprinkler system and drainage grid.
Many of the current fixtures on and
around the ground will need to be removed before
the work commences. The work on the pitch and
its progress will be regularly published on our
web site over the summer months.

At the end of the 2011 season the #1 field was sprayed to kill off all growth.
After a period of time, when all vegetation had died, it was scalped of all residual dead grasses.
