                                                              This  put  Kimihia  A  Grade  girls  and  C  Grade  boys into  the
                                                        final  of  the  area  championships,  held  at  the  same venue on Saturday,
                                                        October 27.
                                                              In  spite  of  performing  against  a  majority  of intermediate
                                                        schools,  Kimihia  A  Grade  girls  gained  2nd place, which speaks very
                                                        highly of their performance.
                                                              Jan  Tapp  gained  the  distinction  of  being  awarded  the  winners
                                                        certificate  in  the  individual  championship  for  the whole of the area.
                                                              This  was  a  most  successful  season  for  Kimihia  School
                                                        teams.  A  total  of  15  certificates  were  awarded  to Kimihia pupils.
