                                                                                   A  father  was  expected  to
                                                                              ‘fall  over’  once  an  opponent  had
                                                                              wrapped their arms around him.
                                                                                   The games  inevitably  ended
                                                                              in  draws  or  close  victories  to  the
                                                                              sons.  The  mothers  played  the
                                                                              daughters at basketball (netball).
